Geeking Out

I (Owen) just got back from my first really serious geek-out session in a really really long time. What fun. I won't bore you with details, but it was a lot of fun.

And Jenn told me she ate all the cheese. I was upset. But she was just making fun of me, which is good, because it was really really good cheese.

Oi! Bore us with details! Inquiring geeks want to know. And the others can go hang.

Alright, I'll just use this to leave it off of the main page.
THe game was based on the Star Wars (Classic 1st edition, and by the way, Drew, Richie still has your books) RPG, and the universe is part of the WGMMOT universe that Richie uses to populate his space opera grand strategy games.

I am playing a Biopharmaceutical Futures Anaylist, who travels from planet to planet predicting and forecasting various plagues, genetic meltdowns, and whatnot for his corporate masters. As an aside, those people who played in Richie's Middle-Earth Rolemaster campaign will note that this being is suffering from an unpleasent form of serial re-incarnation, whereby he is trapped in a thousand lifetimes of pain and suffering by a demonic force which he defeated in the course of redeeming his demon-possessed self in the fever-swamps of Khand. Yes, he may not realize it, but this character is serial reincarnated from the late Mordread Dragonbayne. Geeky enuff?

Dude! That's fantastic. I've always loved your characters, and this is no exception.

I doubt that I'd strike too far afield if I speculated that this analyst will one day be investigated by the relevant authorities for stock manipulation. Prediction, forecasting, and fulfillment. And I don't mean in that new-age wishy-washy sense.
